Everything here is about cooking, eating and making pictures of food. There are no restaurant reviews, no rankings and no “best places” lists on this blog, because Foodies has no restaurant, review, rating, booking or map feature anywhere in the app and we are not going to write a list the product cannot stand behind.
That constraint turns out to be a good editorial rule. A ranking is out of date within a season; how to read a market, how to light a plate, and how a city actually eats are all still true next year. If you want the food culture of a specific place, the city guides cover Paris, London and New York in the same spirit, what people there cook and eat, never where to book.
